Yesterday we saw her and she still seemed fairly unresponsive and rattle-y. Her doctor was doing rounds and spoke with us. She told us that our little girl has been on anti seizure medications at the orphanage but she gets an emergency med when she seizes as well. We will make sure that we have that available when we travel!
But today...what a difference! She looked so much better! They had a better chest x-ray yesterday but her blood work still showed inflammation. They had started her on a different antibiotic Monday and it may be that it is the right one for what she has been struggling with. I held her upright, her head on my shoulder for a while today and when I looked down at her face at one point, it looked as though she was looking straight into my eyes. It is unclear whether she is completely blind or not. She looks up at the ceiling a lot. She looks toward the window a lot. In reading about Cerebral Palsy, abnormalities with distance or close vision can occur.
How cool it would be if she could see our faces!
Now, on to life in Kiev...
